LeSage Recommendations On SIU And Police

The Attorney General has received recommendations from the Honourable Patrick LeSage, former Chief Justice of the Superior Court, concerning matters involving the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and police in Ontario.
The SIU is an independent civilian body established under the Police Services Act to conduct criminal investigations into serious injuries and deaths involving police officers. Ontario is committed to providing a fair and effective system of police oversight and ensuring continued public confidence in police services and the civilian oversight of police across the province.
