McGuinty Government Supports New Building, Equipment And Jobs
Ontario is helping a paper production company expand to a new facility in Eastern Ontario, which will create new jobs and help the company meet strong market demands across the province.
Toronto-based Metro Papers Industries Inc., which converts jumbo tissue rolls into household products, such as bathroom tissue, paper towel rolls, napkins and facial tissue, is opening a new facility in Trenton. The company will install five production lines, purchase new equipment and create 26 jobs. The province is providing $475,000 through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund to support the company's expansion, which will help widen its market reach and meet product demand.
Partnering with local business organizations is a key component of the five-year Open Ontario plan to create new job opportunities and promote economic growth in the province.
