Improving Security of ServiceOntario Kiosks

Providing Ontarians with reliable and efficient government services is a priority for this government.

That's why we are working with the Information and Privacy Commissioner toward a solution to ensure the online security features of the driver's license address change function provide a safe and convenient way for Ontarians to conduct personal business.


As a result of this review, the ministry is also improving security for the address change features at its ServiceOntario kiosk locations around Ontario.

While we make these security upgrades, the Driver's Licence Address Change Service is temporarily unavailable online and at ServiceOntario kiosks.

These services are important to Ontario families and need to be secure and reliable. 

No other online or kiosk services are affected.

To make a driver's license address change visit any ServiceOntario centre.


Quick Facts

  • Ontarians can still change the address for their health card and obtain vehicle registration stickers at a ServiceOntario kiosk.
  • There have been no recent complaints of fraud at any ServiceOntario kiosk.
  • More than 500,000 Ontarians use both the online address change function and the ServiceOntario kiosks each year.
