McGuinty Government Helping Attract Investors
The Chapleau Cree First Nation will attract new investors by developing an online database that includes local statistics, industry facts and partnership opportunities.
Supported through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), the project will provide timely, relevant information that will assist in advancing economic development in the area. It is expected to be ready later in the year.

- The NOHFC is providing $50,000 from its Infrastructure and Community Development Program to support this initiative.
- Chapleau Cree First Nation is a member of the Northeast Superior Regional Chief's Forum (NSRCF)
- The NSRCF consists of Chapleau Cree First Nation, Brunswick House First Nation, Michipicoten First Nation, Pic Mobert First Nation, Missanabie Cree First Nation, Hornepayne First Nation, and Constance Lake First Nation.
