McGuinty Government Supports Development Of New Research Lab
Research into the development of low-cost, more efficient lighting is creating about 14 jobs over the next three years in Thunder Bay.
With assistance from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Lakehead University and Meaglow Ltd are establishing a state-of-the-art semi-conductor research laboratory at the University. The project is focusing on developing new crystal growth technology that could produce brighter light-emitting diodes (LEDs) at a lower cost.
