McGuinty Government Helps Improve Community Infrastructure
Residents of the Kagawong area will soon be able to host concerts, book fairs and other local events at an improved multi use community centre.
With Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) assistance, the Township of Billings is upgrading Park Centre, which can accommodate up to 130 people. The project includes installing new windows and insulation, as well as replacing roof shingles and exterior siding.
Construction will create about nine jobs and strengthen the local economy. Renovations are scheduled to be completed during the summer.
