McGuinty Government Invests In Northern Transportation Infrastructure
Improvements to Highway 11/17 in the Nipigon area will enhance safety and travel for local residents.
Through Ontario's Northern Highways Program, about 11 kilometres of the highway from Highway 628 through Nipigon to the Nipigon River is being rehabilitated. Work includes drainage improvements, pavement resurfacing and illumination upgrades.
This work is creating more than 20 jobs and is scheduled for completion in October. It is part of the Open Ontario plan to create jobs and opportunities in Northern Ontario.
