McGuinty Government Invests In Northern Transportation Infrastructure
Repair work and structural upgrades to a stretch of Highway 64 will result in a smoother ride and safer conditions for travelers.
Through Ontario's Northern Highways Program, about 19 kilometres of Highway 64 from Sturgeon Falls northward will be resurfaced. Other improvements include better drainage and repairs to some of the highway structures.
Work is already underway and is due to be completed next August. This project is expected to create more than 30 jobs.
Investing in highway infrastructure is an important part of the Open Ontario plan to create jobs and economic opportunities in Northern Ontario.
