McGuinty Government Invests In Northern Transportation Infrastructure
Improved traffic flow, increased safety and 300 new jobs will result from the first major expansion project of Highway 11/17 between Thunder Bay and Nipigon. Through Ontario's Northern Highways Program, a six-kilometre stretch of highway from west of Hodder Avenue/Copenhagen Road to east of Highway 527 will be expanded to four lanes. Work will begin shortly with completion expected in 2013.
