McGuinty Government Supports Job Creation In Northern Communities
A hunting and fishing resort on Lake of the Woods will now provide tourism opportunities in the winter - creating more jobs and strengthening the local economy.
Through support from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Harris Hills Resort will now offer year round activities for tourists with the purchase of more land, winterized cabins and an expanded septic system.
With a longer business season, the resort is expected to retain seven employees for the full year and create two new positions.
This funding is part of the Open Ontario plan to build a vibrant and healthy northern economy through job creation in the private sector.
Quick Facts
