McGuinty Government Creating Jobs, Strengthening Northern Economy

Ontario is helping to build a stronger and more diverse northern economy while creating 47 jobs in the Timiskaming-Cochrane region.
Through its Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), the province is helping 11 entrepreneurs and business owners boost the local economy by establishing new businesses, growing existing ventures and creating new jobs.
Investing in Northern Ontario businesses is part of the McGuinty government's Growth Plan for Northern Ontario. A strong northern economy creates local jobs and protects the services that mean the most to families -- health care and education.
