Minister of Labour offers condolences in the death of Ottawa worker

Ministry of Labour

The following statement is from the Honourable Peter Fonseca, Ontario Minister of Labour, in response to the fatality that took place today, January 26th, at 6371 Garvin Road in Ottawa:

On behalf of all Ontarians, I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the individual who lost his life while at work earlier today.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the members of his family, his friends and loved ones.

Ontario's workplaces are among the safest in the world but tragedies like this remind us that we need to do more to ensure that every Ontarian who goes to work returns home safely.

Again, I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the worker who lost his life at work today.

The Honourable Peter Fonseca
Minister of Labour
Province of Ontario
