Giving Solar Power a Boost

Ontario Supporting Innovative Energy Technology in Ottawa

Ontario is helping Solantro Semiconductor Corporation bring to market made-in-Ontario technology that will raise the efficiency of solar power while creating up to 20 jobs in Ottawa.

Solantro has developed technology that will help solar panels produce more energy, while making them cheaper to design and install. Ontario is supporting the company with a new investment that will help it field test this technology and attract buyers and investors.

Providing clean, reliable and affordable power is part of the government's plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support a dynamic and innovative business climate across Ontario.
