McGuinty Government Helps Town With Its Market-based Strategy

The Town of Greater Napanee is developing market-based, downtown revitalization plans with assistance from the Province.

Business and community leaders, working in partnership with Loyalist College, are eager to develop a unique shopping and civic experience in keeping with the historic character of the area.

Healthy rural downtowns are important to Ontario's economic well-being and the communities they serve.

QUICK FACTS

 
  • The Town of Greater Napanee will receive $150,000 for its commercial revitalization project through the Rural Economic Development Program.
  • The community will also rely on assistance from economic development staff at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs who live and work in rural Ontario.
