The Ontario government is inviting people to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country at a Queen's Park ceremony next week.
The Ceremony of Remembrance will begin at 10:45 am on November 11, rain or shine. It will be held at the Veterans' Memorial on the front lawn of the main legislative building at Queen's Park.
The ceremony will include two minutes of silence, the reading of In Flanders Fields, a youth pledge and the laying of wreaths, including the People's Wreath.
"Ontarians owe our veterans an enormous debt of gratitude. I invite all Ontarians to pay their respects to Canadians who fought and died generations ago, and who continue to fight -- and sometimes die -- in the service of Canada."
– Dalton McGuinty
Premier of Ontario
