Inquest in the death of Jamie Barker announced

LONDON, ON, Oct. 31 - Dr. Thomas Wilson, Regional Supervising Coroner for Southwestern Ontario, today said the previously announced inquest into the death of Jamie Barker will proceed in the spring of 2004. Mr. Barker, 28, disappeared on November 14, 2000, during a construction accident on the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor. His body was later recovered from the Detroit River on April 6, 2001. The inquest will review the events surrounding Mr. Barker's death and may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. The date and time of the inquest will be announced soon, but when the inquest occurs, Dr. Thomas Wilson, Regional Supervising Coroner for Southwestern Ontario will preside.
