Media Advisory - The Speech from the Throne Thursday, November 20, 2003

TORONTO, Nov. 18 - The first session of the 38th Parliament will open with the Speech from the Throne on Thursday, November 20, 2003. The Honourable James K. Bartleman, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will read the Speech in the Legislative Chamber, commencing at 3:00 p.m. Journalists requiring accreditation for the Legislative Building should contact Gerald Christopher, Queen's Park Press Gallery Steward, at 416-325-7922. Additional accreditation is required for still photographers who wish to take pictures from the public galleries. Still photographers must see Gerald Christopher in the Queen's Park Press Lounge no later than one hour before the ceremony begins in order to obtain access to the public galleries. Embargoed copies of the Throne Speech will be available to accredited media at the Premier's Media Office, Room 253 of the Legislative Building, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Embargo agreements must be signed and the embargo remains in effect until the Lieutenant Governor begins reading the Speech in the Legislative Chamber.
