Inquest into the death of Rodney Tuck announced

ST.CATHARINES, ON, Nov. 19 - Dr. Christopher K. Rathwell, Regional Supervising Coroner for Niagara, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Rodney Tuck. Mr. Tuck, 49, died at St. Catharines General Hospital on July 5, 2002, while in custody. Under the Coroners Act an inquest is mandatory when a person dies while in custody. The inquest will determine the facts surrounding Mr. Tuck's death and may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. The inquest is expected to last three days. The inquest will take place at the St. Catharines Court House, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2003.
