Lieutenant Governor offers condolences to family and friends of slain Cobourg officer

TORONTO, May 17 - The Hon. James K. Bartleman today issued the following statement: "On behalf of all Ontarians, I offer my deepest sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Constable Chris Garrett, who was killed in the line of duty while serving with Cobourg Police Services. "This loss reminds us of the risks that police officers face every day as they serve and protect our communities. The professionalism and bravery of officers like Constable Garrett keep our communities safe.
