New Centre Provides Wide Range of Services and Information WINDSOR, ON, April 24 - The Ontario government is making it easier for people to access Ontario government services and information with the ServiceOntario Centre in Windsor, said Minister of Government Services Gerry Phillips today. "The people of Ontario asked for more convenient services and we're delivering," said Phillips. "This one-stop shopping option is making it easier for Windsor-area residents to get a wide range of provincial government information and services in one location." Windsor-area residents can visit the Internet stations at the new ServiceOntario Centre to obtain government information and services like birth, death and marriage certificate applications, Ministry of Natural Resources' licences, and many other services. ServiceOntario gives people new options, like a 15-day money-back guarantee for birth certificates submitted online. Residents can also pick up a wide range of publications and forms. ServiceOntario is providing simpler, more streamlined and better- integrated services to people across the province. Centres are now open in 63 locations including Geraldton, North Bay, Owen Sound, Peterborough and Ottawa. "The Windsor ServiceOntario Centre is part of the McGuinty government's commitment to build a modern government that delivers high-quality, cost- effective and accessible services to the public," Phillips said.
