Inquest into the death of Scott Livingston announced
GUELPH, ON, April 19 /CNW/ - Dr. Dirk Huyer, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Guelph Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Scott Livingston.
Mr. Livingston, 51, died on October 8, 2008, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Mississauga. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Livingston's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last four days and will hear from approximately eight witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at the provincial courthouse, 5 Ray Lawson Boulevard, Brampton. Dr. Robert Boyko will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. Paul Renwick will be counsel to the coroner.
