Statement From Minister Sandals Regarding Tentative Agreement With The Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers' Federation

Ministry of Education

Liz Sandals, Minister of Education, issued the following statement about a tentative agreement reached between the Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers' Federation (OSSTF), the Ontario Public School Boards' Association (OPSBA) and the Government of Ontario:

"I am pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached between the Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers' Federation (OSSTF), the Ontario Public School Boards' Association (OPSBA) and the Government of Ontario.

Negotiations were challenging for all sides, but it speaks to the dedication and commitment of everyone involved that collaboration prevailed and a tentative agreement was reached. The tentative agreement must now be ratified and details of the agreement will not be shared until that time.

We continue to negotiate with all other teachers' and education workers' unions at the central table and are committed to bargaining throughout the remaining weeks of the summer in order to reach agreements at all tables."
