Ontario Investing in 20 New and Improved Schools, and 318 New Licensed Child Care Spaces

Ministry of Education

New and improved schools, as well as new child care rooms and more licensed child care spaces are coming to communities across Ontario.  This will give students better places to learn, and children and their families greater access to child care.

The province is investing $137 million to build four new schools and fund 16 major additions and renovations. The province will also create a total of 19 new child care rooms in Toronto, Kingsville and Oshawa schools.  These 318 total new licensed child care spaces for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers give families increased access to safe, high-quality licensed child care.
