Ontario Investing in New School for Oakville

New School will Provide Modern Learning Environment to Support Student Success

Ministry of Education

Ontario is building a new elementary school in Oakville to provide local students with a modern, high-quality learning environment that will lay the foundation for their future success.

Education Minister Mitzie Hunter was joined by MPPs Kevin Flynn and Indira Naidoo-Harris at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Oakville to announce the new project.

The new elementary school will bring together 527 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 in a brand-new building that will support student learning, help reduce the cost of underutilized space and focus on opportunities for better programming for students.

This new school is part of the largest infrastructure investment in schools, hospitals, public transit, roads and bridges in Ontario's history. To learn more about what's happening in your community, go to Ontario.ca/BuildON.
