  • CRC Farms Limited owns a greenhouse on Seacliff Drive W. in Leamington, which uses a stormwater management system.
  • As part of the ministry's interim greenhouse strategy a ministry order was issued to the greenhouse in 2014 that allowed the operation of the facility's sewage works without a ministry approval, provided that all work order items were completed. The company failed to fully comply with the order. As a result the order was revoked.
  • In March 2016, ministry staff conducted a facility inspection and found that process waste waters were continuing to be discharged into the storm water pond. As a result, ministry staff advised the company to immediately cease discharging all process and waste waters to the storm water management pond and to submit a complete ministry approval application to the ministry, prepared by a Qualified Consultant.  The company failed to comply.
  • The ministry's Investigations and Enforcement Branch investigated and laid charges resulting in one conviction.
