New Judge Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice

Ministry of the Attorney General

Ontario has appointed a new judge to the Ontario Court of Justice, effective June 22, 2016.

Justice Colette Daniele Good was called to the bar in 2000. For the past 12 years, Justice Good has served as an Assistant Crown Attorney, primarily in Brantford. Over the years, Justice Good has developed a special expertise in the areas of internet childhood exploitation, child abuse and impaired driving. She has also been involved with Brantford's Indigenous Persons Court, which works to redress wrongs, for both victims and offenders, using the principles of restorative justice.

Justice Good is currently the secretary of the board of directors for Brantford's Nova Vita Domestic Violence Prevention Services, a non-profit charitable organization offering counselling services to victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. She also previously sat on the board of directors of Brantford's Youth Justice Committee that reviewed services for at-risk youth.

Chief Justice Lise Maisonneuve has assigned Justice Good to preside in Brantford.
