New Judge Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice

Ministry of the Attorney General

Ontario has appointed a new judge to the Ontario Court of Justice, effective August 18, 2016.

Justice Michael G. March was called to the bar in 1992. For the past 21 years, he has practised criminal law, primarily in Renfrew County. A long-time advocate for vulnerable people, Justice March frequently acted on a pro bono basis for clients unable to afford counsel.

Justice March recently served as vice-president and president of the Renfrew County Law Association. He is also a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association and the Ontario Bar Association.

Most recently, Justice March lent his time and expertise to Project Welcome, an organization dedicated to sponsoring Syrian refugees and helping them come to Canada.

Chief Justice Lise Maisonneuve has assigned Justice March to preside in Pembroke.
