New Judges Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice
Ontario has appointed two new judges to the Ontario Court of Justice, effective November 8, 2017.
Justice David Berg was called to the bar in 1998. Most recently, he worked as both a public defender and a private practitioner in Nunavut, after being called to the bar there in 2013. He has volunteered with the Law Society of Nunavut and the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program.
Chief Justice Lise Maisonneuve has assigned Justice Berg to preside in Ottawa.
Justice Trevor Allan Brown was called to the bar in 2002. He has spent most of his career as a criminal defence lawyer with Greenspon, Brown and Associates. Justice Brown has volunteered as an executive member of the Ottawa Collaborative Justice Program and volunteers as a youth hockey coach.
Chief Justice Lise Maisonneuve has assigned Justice Brown to preside in Ottawa.
