Inquest into the Death of Jamie William Lascelle Announced

Kingston -- Dr. Roger Skinner, regional supervising coroner for the east region, Kingston office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Jamie Lascelle.

Mr. Lascelle, age 32, died on May 18, 2010, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Lyndhurst in the County of Leeds. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Lascelle's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and to hear from approximately 10 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 10 a.m. on July 8, 2013, at the Brockville Provincial Courthouse, 41 Court House Square, court room No. 4, Brockville. Dr. Robert Reddoch will preside as inquest coroner and Monica Heine will be counsel to the coroner.
