Inquest into the Death of Dennis Keeping Announced

Dr. Dirk Huyer, Regional Supervising Coroner for the Central Region, Guelph Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Dennis Keeping.

Mr. Keeping, age 48, died on Aug. 3, 2010, after falling from a roof while working on a construction project in Brampton. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Keeping's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and to hear from approximately four witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Provincial Offences Court House, 5 Ray Lawson Blvd., Court B7, in Brampton. Dr. Monique Moreau will preside as inquest coroner and Alexandra Berg will be counsel to the coroner.
