Inquest into the Death of Blake Andrew Fitzpatrick Announced

Dr. Roger Skinner, Regional Supervising Coroner for the Central West Region, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Blake Andrew Fitzpatrick. 

Mr. Fitzpatrick, age 28, died on June 28, 2012, during the course of his employment at a construction site in Georgetown. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Fitzpatrick's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and to hear from approximately 12 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 10 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2014, at the Best Western Milton Inn, 161 Chisholm St., Milton. Dr. S. Teper will preside as inquest coroner and Amanda Camara will be counsel to the coroner.
