Inquest into the Death of Andreas Unkerskov-Chinnery Postponed

Dr. William J. Lucas, Deputy Chief Coroner for Inquests, today announced that the inquest into the death of Andreas Unkerskov-Chinnery, scheduled to begin on Feb. 27, 2014, has been postponed. A new date is yet to be determined.

Mr. Unkerskov-Chinnery, age 18, died on Feb. 2, 2011, at the Hamilton General Hospital following an encounter at his home with the Hamilton Police Service. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

Details of the future resumption of the inquest will be provided at the first available opportunity.
