Inquest into the Death of Rowan Kerry Stringer Announced

Dr. Louise McNaughton-Filion, Regional Supervising Coroner for East Region, Ottawa Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Rowan Kerry Stringer.

Miss Stringer, aged 17, died on May 12, 2013, as a result of a head injury sustained while playing rugby.

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Miss Stringer's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

Details regarding the date, location and presiding coroner will be announced when the information becomes available.
