Inquest into the Death of Emanuel Cimpoesu Announced

Dr. David Evans, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central East Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Emanuel Cimpoesu.

Mr. Cimpoesu, aged 57, died on July 26, 2014, while employed at a construction site in York Region. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Cimpoesu's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

Details regarding the date and location will be provided when the information becomes available. Dr. Mary E. Bourne will preside as inquest coroner.
