Inquest into the Death of Potros Jebo Announced

Dr. William J. Lucas, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central West Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Potros Jebo.

Mr. Jebo, aged 63, died on May 17, 2012, during the course of his employment at a construction site in Peel Region. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Jebo's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

The inquest is expected to last two days and to hear from five witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at the

Provincial Offences Courthouse, 5 Ray Lawson Blvd., 2nd Floor, Brampton. Dr. Monique Moreau will preside as inquest coroner and Gregory Hendry will be counsel to the coroner.
