Inquest into the Death of Joseph Charles Dunn Announced

Dr. David Eden, Regional Coroner for Inquests, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Joseph Charles Dunn.

Mr. Dunn, aged 43, died on Sept. 27, 2014, while in the custody of the Canadian Border Services Agency at the Niagara Detention Centre.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Dunn's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. 

Details regarding the date and location will be provided when the information becomes available. Dr. Jack Stanborough will preside as inquest coroner and Graeme Leach will be counsel to the coroner.
