Inquest Date into the Death of Emanuel Nicola Cimpoesu Announced

Dr. Jennifer Arvanitis, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central East Office, today announced that a date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Emanuel Nicola Cimpoesu.

Mr. Cimpoesu, 57, died on July 26, 2014, while employed at a construction site in York Region. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Cimpoesu's death.  The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.    

The inquest is expected to last two days and to hear from approximately five witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at the Aurora Municipal Offices, 100 John West Way.  Dr. Mary Elizabeth Bourne will preside as inquest coroner and Phyllis Castiglione will be counsel to the coroner.
