Inquest into the Death of Ian Pryce Announced

Dr. Roger Skinner, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Toronto West Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Ian Pryce.

Mr. Pryce, 30, died on Nov. 13, 2013, following a Toronto Police shooting while in police custody. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Pryce's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. 

Details regarding the date and location will be provided when the information becomes available. Dr. John Carlisle, will preside as inquest coroner.
