Inquest into the Death of Wayne John Maschke Announced

Dr. Paul Dungey, Regional Supervising Coroner for East Region, Kingston Office, today announced that an inquest will be held in the death of Wayne Maschke.

Mr. Maschke, 58, died on March 5, 2013, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Godfrey. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act. 

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Maschke's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

Details regarding the date and location will be provided when the information becomes available.

Dr. John Carslisle will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. Andrew Scott will be counsel to the coroner.
