Inquest into the Death of Beau Baker Announced

Dr. Reuven Jhirad, Deputy Chief Coroner for Ontario, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Beau Baker.

Mr. Baker, 20, died on April 2, 2015 in Kitchener of injuries sustained when he was shot by a Waterloo Regional Police Service officer.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Baker's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
