Inquest into the Death of Murray Hyde Announced

Dr. Rick Mann, Regional Supervising Coroner for West Region, London Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Murray Hyde.

Mr. Hyde, 54, died on June 10, 2016, at the Stratford General Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained while working at a road construction project in Sebringville. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Hyde's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and to hear from approximately six witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the Stratford Courthouse, 1 Huron St. Dr. Elizabeth Urbantke will preside as inquest coroner and Gideon Bloch will be counsel to the coroner.
