Inquest into the Death of Abdullah Rahmanzadeh Announced

Dr. Roger Skinner, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Toronto West Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Abdullah Rahmanzadeh.

Mr. Rahmanzadeh, 30, died in hospital on August 28, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained while working at a construction site. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Rahmanzadeh's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.

The inquest is expected to last two days and hear from approximately eight witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018, at the Coroner's Courts, Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex, 25 Morton Shulman Ave., Toronto.  Dr. Robert Boyko will preside as inquest coroner. Michael Blain will be counsel to the coroner.
