Inquest into the Death of Darcy Clancy Resumed

Dr. David Eden, Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests, today announced that the inquest into the death of Darcy Clancy will be resumed.

Mr. Clancy, 36, died in hospital on March 18, 2017, from injuries sustained while working at the Compass Minerals mine. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will resume on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 10 a.m. at 1 Courthouse Sq., Goderich. Dr. Geoffrey Bond will preside as inquest coroner. Laura Grant will be counsel to the coroner.
