Inquest Date into the Death of Zoltan Adam Announced

Dr. Kenneth Peckham, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central West Office, announced today that a date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Zoltan Adam.

Mr. Adam, 19, died on May 10, 2016, after he became pinned between the cage of a telescopic lift and a balcony at a construction site in Brampton. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Adam's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and hear from approximately 10 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019, at the Brampton Provincial Offences Court, Courtroom B7, 5 Ray Lawson Blvd.  Dr. Bob Reddoch will preside as inquest coroner and Theo Sarantis will be counsel to the coroner.
