New Inquest Date into the Death of Abdullah Rahmanzadeh Announced

Dr. Roger Skinner, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Toronto West Office, today announced that a new date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Abdullah Rahmanzadeh.

Mr. Rahmanzadeh, 30, died in hospital on August 28, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained while working at a construction site. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest is expected to last three days and hear from approximately nine witnesses.

The inquest will now begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Coroner's Courts, Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex, 25 Morton Shulman Ave., Toronto. Dr. Robert Boyko will preside as inquest coroner and Michael Blain will be counsel to the coroner.
