Inquest Date into the Death of Timothy John Thompson Announced

Dr. Paul Dungey, Regional Supervising Coroner for East Region, Kingston Office, announced today that a date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Timothy John Thompson.

Mr. Thompson, 58, died at the Kingston General Hospital on July 1, 2014, from complications of injuries sustained in a fall on June 25, 2014, at a construction site in Amherstview. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Thompson's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and hear from approximately 11 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Napanee Courthouse, 97 Thomas St. East.  Dr. Bob Reddoch will preside as inquest coroner and Holly Chiavetti will be counsel to the coroner.
