Inquest into the Death of Mark Lalonde Announced

Dr. Joel Kirsh, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central East Office, announced today that an inquest will be held into the death of Mark Lalonde.

Mr. Lalonde, 38, died on August 1, 2017, while working at a construction site in Huntsville. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Lalonde's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.

Details regarding the date and location will be provided at a later date when the information becomes available. Dr. Geoffrey Bond will preside as inquest coroner and Lyndsay Jeanes will be counsel to the coroner.
