Inquest Date into the Death of Mark Attallah Announced

Dr. Kenneth Peckham, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central West Office, announced today that a date has been scheduled for the inquest into the death of Mark Attallah.

Mr. Attallah, 40, died on April 21, 2015, while working at a construction site in Brampton. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.  

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Attallah's death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.

The inquest is expected to last three days and hear from approximately eight witnesses.

The inquest will start at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Courtroom B, Brampton Provincial Offences Court, 5 Ray Lawson Blvd. Dr. Geoffrey Bond will preside as inquest coroner and Ikdeep Singh will be counsel to the coroner.
