Ontario Disability Cheques Are Available For Pick-Up

McGuinty Government Helps Ontarians Get June Payment On Time As Mail Services Resume

The province is making sure that Ontarians can get their Ontario Disability Support Program cheques on time while postal services resume.

To avoid any delays in payment, Ontarians who normally receive their cheques by mail can now pick up their June payment at their local Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) office.

Recipients must present valid identification such as a birth certificate, driver's license or passport in order to pick up their cheque.

People who cannot pick up their cheques in person should contact their local office or call 1-888-789-4199 or 416-325-5666, TTY: 1-800-387-5559 or 416-327-4282.

ODSP recipients may continue to use their June drug and dental cards during July.

Delivery-as-usual of ODSP cheques by mail will resume for July 2011 payments for people who normally receive payments by mail.

Quick Facts

  • Over 80 per cent of ODSP recipients receive their monthly payment via direct deposit and have received their June payments.
  • More than 390,000 Ontarians currently receive Ontario Disability Support Program benefits.
