Move to high definition creates jobs at Ross Video
McGuinty Government Strengthens Eastern Ontario Economy
Ontario is working with business to strengthen the economy and create jobs in Eastern Ontario.
Ross Video Limited in Iroquois is improving the company's high definition video technology capabilities, which will create 18 jobs over the next three years, with the potential for further job creation as the business grows. The company will use a grant of $654,707 under the Eastern Ontario Development Fund to invest in new production equipment and specialized training for its employees.
Partnering with business is a key component of the government's five-point economic plan to grow the economy.
- Ross Video Limited specializes in live production technology, designing and manufacturing technical equipment for the broadcasting industry. It currently employs 266 people at several sites across eastern Ontario.
- In 2005, eastern Ontario's gross domestic product was nearly $58 billion, representing 12 per cent of the provincial total.
